Jharkhand has always been viewed from the point of view of extraction. Let the world see this state from the point of view of attraction, that is our goal. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said these things while launching the Jharkhand Tourism Policy-2021 in New Delhi on Saturday.
He said that the water, forests, mountains, waterfalls, rivers here have immense potential from the point of view of tourism. You will see that the state reflects the same goal. He said that as much as Jharkhand is under the rich land, it is above the rich land. Everyone has done a survey under the land here, but perhaps no one has seen the beautiful panoramic view here till date. Today we have come before you to give a platform to the same.
That is the first step…
The Chief Minister (Hemant Soren) said that this is the first stop. We have made tourism policy but the journey does not end here. I understand that if the journey of a tourist has started in Jharkhand, then I can say with full confidence that the foot of the tourist can never stop, because there is more than one beautiful tourist place at every turn, at every crossroads. , which will entice the tourists.
Changing perspective of looking at Jharkhand
The Chief Minister said that the attitude of people to see Jharkhand is changing. There are many unique things in this state, which are worth seeing with study and research in every respect. The Fossil Park has recently been inaugurated at Mandar in Sahibganj district. Its history is about 150 million years old. It shows the history of the origin of human life.
He said that according to my knowledge, for the first time the land came out of the sea only in Singhbhum. It is about 350 crore years old. Where today iron ore is found on a large scale. Efforts are being made to keep it in front of the country and the world through the new tourism policy.
There is no one like Netarhat….
The Chief Minister said that thousands and lakhs of rupees are spent by visiting hill stations of other states to see the breathtaking and beautiful views. The same heart-warming panoramic view can be seen in the valleys of Neterhat. Seeing the forests and beautiful plains in Netarhat, you will feel that it is not less than other places in any case. There is also a provision to give a different look to tourism in Netarhat in the new tourism policy.
Beautification of tourist places, tourists will get all the necessary facilities
Chief Minister Soren said that many provisions have been made for the development of tourism in the new tourism policy. Under religious tourism, civic amenities and beautification will be done in religious places like Deoghar, Parasnath, Madhuban and Itkhori. At the same time, the work of development of Latehar-Netarhat-Betla, Chandil-Dalma-Mirchaiya-Getelsud eco-circuit is being done to promote eco-tourism and to integrate tourism activities with nature. Rest house facilities will be made available at these places for the tourists to stay.
To experience the rich culture of Jharkhand, emphasis is being laid on organizing food festivals, inter-state cultural programs to showcase the vibrant and diverse culture of the state. To increase the potential of rural tourism includes beautification of identified villages, promotion of local cuisine, promotion of rural life. Village Tourism Committees (VTCs) and Rural Tourism Sub-Committees will be formed in this regard.
Trying to explore possibilities in mining tourism
He further said that under the policy to showcase the mineral wealth of the state, possibilities will be explored through mining tourism, which is a new discovery in itself. He said that in the new tourism policy, there will be work to promote activities of adventure tourism like paragliding, water sports, rock climbing, gliding etc. There are plans to develop dams like Tilaiya, Masanjor, Chandil, Patratu, Getalsud, Kellaghagh, Kanke, Hatia for water sports. Jharkhand will turn out to be an exciting stop for those looking for a holiday through Weekend Getaway Tourism.
Will move forward through tourism
The Chief Minister said that many states have been shining with the mineral wealth of the state, but this state is also suffering from many problems even today. In such a situation, the government has made an action plan to move forward through tourism. I think this will also boost the economic activities of rural areas.
Limitless possibilities in sports and arts
Soren said that there is immense potential here in the field of sports and arts. Cricket players like Dhoni come from this state. Hockey players like Salima Tete come from our state which is representing the country in the world with limited resources. Recently in the field of art, Riya Tirkey participated in the grand finale of Femina Miss India. From this we can guess that the youth of our state are moving ahead in every field. The government is working with full efficiency to promote tourism in the state.
Investors will get special package on first-cum-first-serve basis
Many types of incentives are being given to the investors in the new tourism policy. like –
20-25% subsidy is being given on capital investment up to the limit of 10 crores.
75% rebate of Net SGST will be given for 5 years.
Stamp Duty and Electricity Duty will not be levied for 5 years.
Special arrangements have been made in the policy for women, S, ST and differently abled.
We have created a single window system for investments and incentives.
