Jharkhand: School’s ‘prayer’ changed under pressure from Muslim-dominated villagers, Education Minister ordered strict action

Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato has ordered the Deputy Commissioner to take strict action on the matter of forcibly changing prayers in the name of religion in Jharkhand’s school. The Education Minister said that no outside interference will be tolerated in government schools.

In fact, it is being told in some media reports that Yogesh Ram, the headmaster of the middle school located in Korwadih of Garhwa district, was pressurized by the people of the village to change the prayer held in the school for years.

Therefore, the rules for prayer in the school will also have to be made according to us.

New prayer for students being conducted for four months
When the headmaster gave this information to the head of the panchayat and the officials of the education department, it was revealed that for the last four months, the old prayer in the school is being replaced by a new prayer from the students.

At the same time, on this matter, the State Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto has spoken to the Deputy Commissioner of Garhwa on the phone and ordered strict action. The Education Minister said that such acts will not be tolerated in government schools. Schools will run as per the guidelines of the department.

The Education Minister also made it clear that if a village has a Muslim majority or any other religious majority, but on the basis of religion, the government cannot allow prayer in the school.
