The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team itself reached the mining site, where it found explosives used in mining. After this, Pankaj Mishra’s difficulties may increase further. The ED is probing cases of illegal mining and money laundering related to it. Mishra was arrested in this case.

The ED said on Friday that a team of top officials identified and inspected the mining site located at Mouza Sivariya, Circle Mandro on Wednesday. According to the ED, this was the same site which was visited by the Joint Inspection Team in July, 2022. Earlier also the officials had claimed that illegal mining is being run here through Pankaj Mishra and Vishnu Yadav. agency

The scope of mining has increased

The Enforcement Directorate probing illegal mining is continuously raiding Sahibganj and surrounding areas. From 25 July 2022 to 29 July 2022, the ED conducted a survey for five consecutive days regarding illegal mining. Illegal mining was being done in the area of ​​Nibu Pahar for about eight months.

Mining efforts at many new places

A request was also made to fly a drone here for further investigation. Investigation found that holes had been made at several new places and gunpowder had been planted in them. Apparently preparations were made to explode it. The ED gave this information in a letter to the Sahibganj police and demanded action.
