Jin is the FIRST member of BTS to wish Suga ‘Happy Birthday’ amidst ongoing military service – Times of India

BTS member Suga turned 31 years old on March 9. However, due to the constraints of their mandatory military service, Suga’s ability to celebrate the occasion with ARMYs, the fanbase of BTS, was likely limited. But fellow BTS member Jin stepped up to ensure that Suga’s special day was not overlooked.
Both Jin and Suga are currently fulfilling their mandatory military duties, albeit in different capacities. While Jin serves as an active-duty soldier, Suga is engaged in alternative services. Despite the challenges posed by their military commitments, Jin has made efforts to maintain communication with fans through social media platforms such as Weverse, providing updates and glimpses into his life whenever possible.
As the first member of BTS to enlist in the military back in December 2022, anticipation among fans for Jin’s impending discharge has been steadily building. Jin himself has eagerly counted down the days until his return, recently updating fans with a ‘D-100’ post on Weverse, signaling the impending end of his military service.
On the occasion of Suga’s birthday, Jin seized the opportunity to extend his warm wishes to his fellow member, returning to his previous post on Weverse and writing, “Happy birthday Suga!!!!!!”. Though seemingly a simple gesture, Jin’s message carried with it the unmistakable chaotic energy that fans have come to associate with him. Also, this is the first birthday wish from a BTS member to Suga yet.
Currently stationed as an assistant instructor in the Fifth Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, Jin’s discharge date is set for June 12, 2024. Meanwhile, details regarding Suga’s service remain undisclosed to the public, with his expected discharge date is slated for June 21, 2025.
