Citing the recording of the company-wide meeting, a Vox report mentions this Nick CleggThe president of global affairs at the company told employees that “this is a time of great anxiety and uncertainty” and that “the third wave is due next week.”
“The third wave is due next week. It affects everyone in biz teams, including my organization,” Vox quoted Clegg as saying.

“This is a time of great anxiety and uncertainty. … I wish I had an easier way to provide consolation or comfort. It is uncertain. And it’s actually really increased my appreciation for the way that everyone – despite all that uncertainty – you’re just demonstrating such resilience and professionalism,” Clegg said.
Layoff strategy similar to previous job cuts
Clegg said the next round of layoffs would follow a similar process to April’s cuts, which saw 4,000 roles eliminated from a range of departments.
The day the layoffs begin, the company will post a note to employees with details of the process and which teams will be affected. Those affected will be informed and the company will ask all employees whose jobs allow them to work from home, Clegg was quoted as saying.
