RJD blames BJP for Tejashwi’s charge sheet
The agency alleged that the payment for the land parcel was shown to be made mostly in cash. The CBI also alleged that a 1.05 lakh sq ft plot in Patna was acquired by Lalu’s family members by paying vendors in cash.
RJD leaders have blamed the BJP government at the Center for this action. Party’s state spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan said that seeing the progress of opposition unity, BJP leaders are getting nervous and are falling to the lowest level in politics by misusing ED, CBI and Income Tax Department. Gagan said, “From the day the Grand Alliance government was formed in Bihar last year, Tejashwi ji was on the BJP’s radar.” JDU’s chief spokesperson KC Tyagi said the charge sheet was the result of a meeting of non-BJP leaders convened in Patna on June 23.
“PM, Home Minister and BJP National President had made several statements on corruption and dynasty politics after the meeting of opposition parties in Bihar. But their real face is that NCP leaders who were named by ED in corruption cases have been made ministers in Maharashtra. The BJP either polarises votes on communal lines or harasses its rivals by misusing central agencies.
Congress Legislature Party leader in the state assembly Shakeel Ahmed Khan termed the CBI action as the result of the June 23 meeting. But BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Modi said that the inclusion of Tejashwi’s name in the second charge sheet has nothing to do with the meeting of opposition parties, as the charge sheet against Lalu and Rabri has been filed long back. He said that JDU national president Lalan Singh had made available all the documents related to this scam to the then PM Mammohan Singh.
