Chennai: Actor and mnm President Kamal Haasan on Tuesday demanded that the Tamil Nadu government conduct an impartial inquiry into the matter. Death a 17 year old school girl and Kaniyamoor Inn Kallakurichi District Seoni.
He said the failure of the police department to act swiftly to take appropriate steps in the matter resulted in violence in Kallakurichi on Sunday. However, he called the violent protests unacceptable.

He said there is public anger due to the indifferent nature of the claim made by the parents of the victim and the delay in initiating the investigation. “Had the arrests been made earlier, the damage to public properties could have been avoided,” he said.
The public was alleging that such mysterious unsolved deaths have taken place in the same school in the past as well. He said this reinforces the claims of the parents of the Class XII student, who allegedly died by suicide last Wednesday.
“The government should thoroughly investigate allegations of mysterious deaths of students in the past,” he said.
