actor Kangana Ranaut He appeared in the Metropolitan Magistrate’s court in suburban Andheri on Monday in connection with a defamation complaint filed against him by Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar. This is his third appearance in the court after Akhtar filed a complaint against him in November 2020.
Akhtar, 76, in his complaint had accused Ranaut of making defamatory statements against him in a television interview, which he said had damaged his reputation. Akhtar had claimed that after the alleged suicide by actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020, Ranaut dragged his name during a TV interview, referring to a ‘kotri’ in Bollywood.
On the work front, Kangana will next be seen in the political drama ‘Emergency’. Kangana will play the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming political drama, which she will also produce. The film will reportedly feature Emergency and Operation Blue Star. The actress will also direct and produce the film
She also has ‘Tejas’ where she will play the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. Team Tejas had earlier announced that the film would hit the theaters on October 5, 2022, on Dussehra. The story is meant to inspire and make our brave soldiers feel proud as they face many challenges to keep our country safe.
Kangana had also announced ‘Sita: The Avatar’ as her upcoming projects in which she will be seen playing the role of Goddess Sita. The upcoming mythological film will be directed by Alaukik Desai and will reportedly release in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Apart from these, the Dhaakad actress also has ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’ in her kitty. Kangana and producer Kamal Jain will join hands to bring back the franchise after 2019’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. For the oblivious, Didda was the queen of Kashmir who defeated Mahmud Ghaznavi twice in battle. One of her legs was affected by polio but she was one of the greatest warriors of all time.
