Kangana Ranaut Has actively supported the makers and star cast of The Kerala Story after the film was criticized for ‘spreading hate’. However, after its release on 5 May, Kerala Story garnered great attention and rave reviews. Now Shabana Azmi has taken a dig at those demanding a ban on Sudipto Sen’s film. The veteran actress said that only the CBFC has the right to ban a film.

He tweeted, ‘Those who talk of banning The Kerala Story are as wrong as those who ban it. Aamir KhanK #Lal Singh Chadha. Once a film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification, no one has the right to be an extra constitutional authority.”

Soon after her tweet, Kangana Ranaut slammed the veteran actress for comparing the film with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. She responded by saying, “That’s a very valid point, except for the fact that no one asked for LSC to be banned, people didn’t want to see it for a number of reasons, the main reason being that it was a very It was a remake of a popular old Hollywood classic that most people had already seen.”

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had opened up on The Kerala Story and said that anyone who feels attacked by the film is a ‘terrorist’.
