Comedian Kapil Sharma is making a comeback with a new comedy show called The Great Indian Kapil Show, which will premiere on Netflix, a change from his usual TV platform. At a promotional event, Kapil praised his show’s cast, especially Sunil Grover for his huge fan following, and called Archana Puran Singh his ‘lucky charm.’ Kapil mentioned that they had previously worked together on Comedy Circus.
Praising Archana, Kapil said, “She is our lucky charm. We started the show in 2013. Before that, I worked with Archana ji in Comedy Circus. Her specialty is that she understands every type of humor, and that’s an art. We enjoy a lot when she sits in front of us. It has been 11 years of this show, and I thank everyone for giving so much love to the show. This time we are coming with more affluence.”
The Great Indian Kapil Show brings Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover back together after their 2017 fallout. Speaking about Sunil Grover, Kapil mentioned that Sunil has a huge fan following. He said, “You all love Sunil paji so much. People think that our collaboration began from this show in 2013, but in 2009 there was a show called Hans Baliye, and I met him for the first time on that show. And you all know pura show ek taraf inki fan following ek taraf (the whole show is on one side and his fan following is on one side).”
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor, the first guest on the show along with mom Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, said that he hopes to bring Raha Kapoor, his and Alia Bhatt’s daughter, on Kapil Sharma’s show soon. In a new promo released, Ranbir opened up about being a father and gushed about Raha. He called himself a burp specialist and added that he couldn’t wait to bring her to the show.
