Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has shared yet another cryptic post on his Instagram handle. This time, Karan has spoken out about the importance of finding one’s true worth within oneself. Karan, who is known for making love stories in Bollywood, reposted a video from an Instagram page called Terribly Tiny Tales, in which a woman is unable to express her feelings for a friend when the latter texts her, asking about why she “left the party abruptly”.
Sharing the video, Karan wrote, “This is so true to so many and heartbreaking in equal measure! Don’t empower someone who doesn’t have the same feeling for you… Self worth always wins!”
A few weeks ago, Karan had called out Bollywood movies for blindly following “trends”. Time and again, Karan has openly criticised Bollywood’s inability to create original content. In a cryptic post, Karan maintained that Bollywood “lacks” conviction when it comes to originality.
Sharing the lengthy note on his handle, Karan wrote, “Bada scale chahiye toh wo banaao. Action chali. Action banaao! Love story chali toh love story banaao! Chick flick hit hui toh wahan jaao! Mausam har hafte badalta hai… conviction har hafte marta hai! Box office hai bhaiya, Instagram reel nahi… 30 second ki trending mein reh jaaoge wahin ke wahin!”
Before that, Karan had slammed those who went “under the knife” to look younger. Last month, he took to his Instagram Stories and wrote a lengthy note, saying that fillers may change one’s external appearance but it cannot change one’s nature and personality.
“Fillers laga lo fulfilment nahin milti… Make up laga lo umar hai ghat thi. Karlo jitna bhi Botox, lagoge jaise madhumakkhi ne kaat liya… Naak badalne se gandh itar nahi banti. Going under the knife se exterior badal bhi jaaye… Lekin meri jaan… Fitrat nahi badalti (Putting fillers doesn’t bring fulfilment. Applying makeup reduces age. No matter how much Botox you do, you’ll look like a bee has stung you. Changing the nose doesn’t change the bad smell. Going under the knife will only change your exterior and not your nature),” Karan wrote on his Instagram Stories.
