Chamkila directed by Imtiaz Ali, is a biographical drama based on the life of the iconic Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila.
Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Chamkila is getting immense love from all corners. From fans to celebrities, all are loving the tragic drama. Well, joining the trend is Kareena Kapoor Khan. She also took to her Instagram stories and shared a photo from the film. She praised and called it ‘Divine’.
In the photo which is a collage of Diljit and Parineeti’s scenes from the film. Kareena wrote, ‘Divine’ followed with hearts emojis. Taking to his Instagram handle, Diljit shared the video in which he is seen singing with other stars and Parineeti is seen enjoying the view. She is standing and laughing as Diljit dedicates a song to her. On Monday, Parineeti took to social media to express her gratitude to her fans for their praise. She shared a video in which she is seen singing a song while the real Amarjot is also seen in the frame. Both are singing the same song. “Amarjot ko itna pasand karne ke liye Shukriya #Chamkila Overwhelmed with all the love that’s been pouring in… thank you… #Grateful,” read the caption.

As reported Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to star in Toxic co starring Yash. It has now been claimed that Kareena will play the role of Yash’s sister. It is also claimed that she has a powerful role in the film. If the report is true, this will mark Kareena’s first Kannada film.
A source told Times Now, “It is basically a brother-sister story with Yash and Kareena playing inseparable siblings. The director was keen to have Kareena on board in Toxic from the inception of the project. Negotiations were on. Everyone presumed Kareena was being brought into the project as Yash’s leading lady when in fact Kareena was offered a far more powerful role. She has never been seen like this before.” Meanwhile, it is also rumoured that Shruti Haasan could play the lead role.
