Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan got married in 2012 after dating for almost five years.

Kareena Kapoor Khan married Saif Ali Khan back in 2012 after dating for a few years. When they were dating, the couple starred in the 2009 film Kurbaan. The film turned out to be a massive hit the box office. Recently the actress recollected filming the sex scene with Saif for the film.

At the recent rountable conversation, according to a report in Hindustan Times, Sidharth Malhotra asked her about the steamy intimate scene between her and Saif. Kareena then laughed and added, “But we were already dating. We were auditioning. So that worked out well.” Kajol was then seen joking and called it a ‘private audition’ for the couple.

Saif and Kareena decided to get married after living in together for five years. In a new interview, Kareena revealed that they were happy with their living arrangement but decided to get married because they wanted to have children. The actress and the actor welcomed their first son, Taimur Ali Khan, in 2016 and second son, Jeh Ali Khan, in 2021.

In an interview with Dirty Magazine, Kareena had earlier shared, “The reason you get married now is that you want to have a child, right? I mean today otherwise you can just live together. [Saif and I] lived together for five years, so when we took the next step, it was because we wanted to have children.” Bebo also opened up about her parenting style, revealing that she treats both her sons with respect.

“We treat them as individuals, we respect them, and we just let them be. They will figure it out, they will find their own path. Kids are quite resilient, you know,” Kareena said, before adding, “I want to live my life in front of my kids, I want to do everything with them. We have to be happy na, then they will flourish. I’m responsible for my own mental health first.”

In another part of the interview, Kareena candidly admitted that she is attached to her family. “I’m very attached to my family, my kids, my husband, my five friends. That’s it. That’s my life. I need my people. My spot boy has been with me from my first shot. People who come into my world, I don’t let them go and they don’t leave. That’s why I’m not at every single party. I don’t feel the need to be doing that. Being at parties, making friends, socialising. I don’t want to,” she said.
