Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023: Krishnaraj MLA SA Ramdas decided not to contest as an independent, giving relief to BJP. Karnataka election news – Times of India

Mysuru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got a big relief. Krishnaraj MLA SA Ramdas Who was not given ticket by the party, on Tuesday evening decided not to contest as an independent candidate.
He was approached by JD(S) leaders during the day as his supporters urged him to contest as an independent. However, Ramdas rejected both the suggestions.
Nation First is a philosophy that I support. Everything for me is this country and its culture. I will abide by the decision of the group. I will bear all these trials just like Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. Initially, I am a volunteer of RSS. My ultimate goal is to serve this country under the direction of PM Narendra Modi. So I decided not to disobey the party, he told reporters.
Out of 265 booth committee presidents of BJP, 252 leaders supported me. Out of 625 booth committee general secretaries, 560 leaders are with me. They wanted me to contest as an independent candidate. But I will continue to work for the party.
I am fortunate that PM Modi calls me friend. He claimed that keeping all this in mind, I decided not to contest even if I would have won by a margin of 20,000 votes.
Party and RSS are everything for me. I will continue my service to the society, he said.
