Karnataka Election 2023: Karnataka is set to vote on Wednesday to elect its representatives to the 224-member Legislative Assembly. Polling in the constituencies will begin at 7 am on May 10. The counting of votes will take place on May 13. The stakes are high for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form a new government in the election-bound southern state and even higher for the Congress.

A total of 5,31,33,054 voters are eligible to vote in 58,545 polling stations in Karnataka, where 2,615 candidates are in the fray. The voters are 2,67,28,053 males, 2,64,00,074 females and 4,927 others, while the candidates are 2,430 males, 184 females and one from the third gender.
