Karnataka Elections 2023: Priyanka Gandhi to campaign in parts of Mysore after Amit Shah’s visit; Possible meeting of top opposition leaders

Home Amit Shah will address public meetings in Bagalkot and Vijayapura districts and hold a road show in Yadgir.

Top opposition leaders of around 19 parties will meet to forge a united front against the BJP after the Karnataka assembly elections. Congress sources gave this information on Monday. The leaders were earlier supposed to meet by the end of April. Sources said the meeting has been delayed due to the Karnataka assembly elections on May 10.

Sources said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is likely to host the meeting sometime next month and he has already spoken to leaders of several other parties in this regard.

BJP’s Mega Karnataka campaign

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a three-day visit to Karnataka. Shah will address public meetings at Teradal in Bagalkot district, Devaripargi in Vijayapura district and Yadgiri on April 25. He will also participate in a road show in Yadgiri.

On the other hand, BJP president JP Naddak, who will embark on a three-day tour of Karnataka from Monday, will participate in a road show at Sidlaghatta in Chikkaballapur district. He will also visit a temple at Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district and address several public meetings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on April 29 is likely to give a boost to the party’s mega election campaign.

According to Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, PM Modi will start his campaign from Belagavi. He will visit Chikodi, Kittur and Kudachi in Belagavi, one of the largest districts of Karnataka. The Prime Minister will also visit Uttara Kannada district. The Prime Minister will also visit the poll-bound state on 3 May.

According to BJP sources, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will address four election rallies on 26 and 29 April and 5 and 7 May. Union Minister Smriti Irani will address eight rallies between April 25 and May 6.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hold four public meetings on 26 and 30 April and 6 and 7 May.

Besides this, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will address five public meetings between May 3 and 5.
