Kavitha participates in the mass recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa at the Kondagattu hill temple

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha participated in the mass recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa at the Kondagattu hill temple in Malliyal mandal of Jagtial district on Wednesday.

He performed special worship of the deity of the temple, popularly called “Kondagattu Anjana”, and recited Hanuman Chalisa along with Lord Hanuman devotees.

He said, “Lord Anjaneya Swamy is the most worshipable God. It is believed that Lord Anjana bestows good health, happiness and success. He said that the presence of Lord Anjaneya Swamy temples in almost all the villages of Telangana reflects the unwavering faith of the devotees in Lord Anjana.

During the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, temple priest Jitendraiah suggested that the Hanuman Chalisa be recited to ensure the well-being of the people of Telangana. “Since then, we have been reciting Hanuman Chalisa with utmost devotion under the aegis of Kondagattu Anjana Seva Samiti,” he said.

Chopdandi MLA Sunke Ravi Shankar and others were present.

Meanwhile, the Kondagattu temple authorities in coordination with various government departments have made elaborate arrangements for the five-day “Pedda Hanuman Jayanti festival” to be held from May 11 to 15 at the famous hill shrine.
