Kerala Story got zero OTT buyers, Sudipto Sen claims film industry united to punish him for his success – Times of India

Recently there were reports that the Kerala Kahaani will soon start streaming on the OTT platform. But sudipto Has said that he has not received a suitable offer from any OTT platform for the film.
When asked about the film getting ready for streaming, Sudipto said that it is fake news and they are still waiting for a good workable deal from any of the main OTT platforms.
However, the director said that he has not received any offer worth considering. He then claimed that the film industry had united to punish him.

He further said that the box office success of The Kerala Story has upset many sections of the film industry. He and his team feel that a section of the entertainment industry has come together to punish them for their success.
An entertainment portal quoted a source as saying that the film and its subject matter has upset a certain section of the audience. And this is probably the reason why major OTT platforms are not ready to acquire the film to avoid getting into anything politically controversial.
The source further added that The Kerala Story comes across as a promotional film while OTT platforms focus on more intelligent, thought-provoking and entertaining subjects. In such a situation, a film like The Kerala Story does not fit into these genres.
