Makers of controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Lead actor Adah Sharma, director Sudipto Sen, producer and creative Vipul Amritlal Shah were present to interact and interact with the political leader. Yesterday, the film was declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh. During the meeting, the team discussed the film with CM Yogi and Vipul Shah urged him to watch the film.

Expressing gratitude for making the film tax free in UP, director Sudipto Sen said, “We have come to thank the honorable Chief Minister for declaring the film tax free and giving the citizens of Uttar Pradesh a chance to watch this film. ” Producer Vipul Shah also said, “Uttar Pradesh government and Yogi ji have taken this step and have greatly boosted our morale and strengthened our thinking. Due to the large number of viewers watching this film, they have given people a Very powerful message has been given. We are very thankful to the CM that this happened.”

The CM and his cabinet colleagues are also likely to watch the film at a special screening at Lok Bhawan on May 12. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh made the film tax-free in the state on 6 May. Kerala Story had crossed the ₹50 mark. crore figure on the fifth day of release, earning ₹11.14 crore at the box office on Tuesday. It has so far earned Rs 56.86 crore at the domestic box office and will release internationally on 12 May.

After the film’s trailer was released, a petition was filed against it on the grounds of ‘hate speech of the worst kind’ and ‘audio-visual propaganda’. Several political leaders criticized the film and claimed that the makers are making false claims that it is a real story and the number of ‘32000 women’ is fake.

Ever since the film released, the team has been facing criticism for being a propaganda film. However, the makers have been consistently denying this comment and shared that the Hindi film is not ‘against Muslims or Islam’ but against terrorism. He made the film to share the stories of the victims and their families. Vipul Amritlal also revealed that many people had changed their mind after watching the film and later apologised.
