Kochi Corporation gets approval for projects worth ₹345 crore under AMRUT-II

Kochi Corporation has received approval for projects worth ₹345 crore under the AMRUT-II scheme.

Administrative approval has been received for projects worth Rs 152 crore for water supply. The allocation for sewerage projects is ₹193 crore. A review meeting of the projects was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Mayor M. Anilkumar.

The tendering process for water supply projects worth Rs 27 crore has been completed. The work is expected to start soon. The water supply projects included in the AMRUT-II scheme include laying of pipes along Kunjanbawa Road and installation of additional pumps at the pump house in Pazhur.

According to an official communication, the process of granting technical clearance for a 5 million liters per day sewage treatment plant at Elamkulam and a 40-km connected network as part of the Rs 193-crore sewerage project is underway.
