Kpopo idol Moonbin, who was a member of the Korean boy band ASTRO, was found dead in his apartment in Seoul. Police is speculating suicide while there is no official confirmation. The death of the singer has sent shock waves across the Kpop industry as well as among fans. Everyone is shocked by the death of a 25-year-old youth. Shortly after the news broke, Fantagio’s agency released a statement saying that the funeral would be held in private and that the family needed space to grieve.
The statement read, “First of all, we apologize for delivering this sad and heartbreaking news. On April 19, Astros member Moonbin left us suddenly and is now a star in the sky. Nothing can compare to the grief of the bereaved family.” Who had to part with his beloved son and brother, his fellow cast members and Fantagio’s staff who have been with him for a long time, are also deeply mourning the loss of the departed amid tremendous shock and sadness.”

Other Kpop idols such as BTS leader RM and others also mourned the loss. RM aka Kim Namjoon shared a black photo on his Instagram to express his grief over Moonbin’s sudden death. The dark picture indicates that it is a sad day for the K-pop industry.
Talking about the sudden death, the police said, “It appears that Moonbin took his own life. We are currently discussing the possibility of an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.”
