Lalu Party Launches Outreach Program in Bihar to Counter ‘Modi Effect’ | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Ahead of the proposed Ram temple consecration ceremony at Ayodhya, the RJD on Wednesday launched ‘karyakarta samwad’ (workers’ dialogue with the masses) programme to make people aware about the “anti-people policy” of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and also apprising them about the “achievements” of the state government.
RJD has planned to cover 13 districts in the first phase till January 12 and the remaining ones from January 16.RJD ministers attended the programmes in the 13 districts on Wednesday. They informed the masses about the Centre’s alleged failure to check inflation, provide employment to youths as promised, check atrocities on women and work for the welfare of the poor class. The RJD workers also told the masses about the caste survey conducted by the state government and hike in the quota percentage for reserved castes based on their population.
Prominent ministers who attended the programme included Surendra Prasad Yadav, Alok Kumar Mehta, Jitendra Kumar Rai, Ramanand Yadav, Prof Chandra Shekhar, Samir Kumar Mahaseth and Kumar Sarvjeet.
The idea is to counter BJP’s move to publicise the achievements of the Narendra Modi government among the masses through various measures. Various raths passing through the state tell the people how Modi means “guarantee” and a number of public welfare schemes launched by the Centre were improving the conditions of the poor.
