Lalu Prasad gave poll ticket to Rohini Acharya after taking her kidney: Samrat Choudhary | Patna News – Times of India

Deputy chief minister and state BJP president Samrat Choudhary on Friday sparked a major controversy by claiming that RJD chief Lalu Prasad granted ticket to his daughter Rohini Acharya in exchange for her kidney, triggering massive protests from the main opposition. The RJD is yet to officially announce Rohini’s candidature although her name remains in the race for Saran Lok Sabha seat.
“We all know Lalu is an expert in selling party tickets. He has not even spared his daughter. First, he took the kidney and then gave a ticket to his daughter. This is in brief the introduction of Lalu Ji,” Samrat told the mediapersons on Friday. However, his remarks have blown into a major controversy with the RJD trying hard to link them with “prestige” of the entire female class.
RJD even fielded its women brigade to launch massive attacks on the BJP leader for such a derogatory remark towards the women class. “At the time of his mother’s death, Samrat had tied a turban to his head promising to remove it only after he dethrones Nitish Kumar, but now he shares power with the same person,” RJD spokesperson Sarika Paswan said on Friday. Accusing Samrat of insulting the women folk through such remarks, she said the female class won’t forgive him.
Madhu Manjari Kushwaha, another RJD spokesperson, said the entire female community feels offended by such remarks by the BJP president, sating that the RJD gives tickets to the poor. She alleged Samrat was crying hoarse since the RJD is giving tickets to candidates from Kushwaha community, as he comes from this community.
For the first phase of polling to be held in four Lok Sabha seats alone, the RJD is learnt to have given tickets to two candidates from Kushwaha community.
