The man she was living with has been arrested under the Indian Penal Code and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act.
Inspector Riyaz Shaikh said that the girl had gone missing from Nilanga tehsil of Latur last year, following which her relatives had lodged a case of kidnapping with the Kasarshirshi police station.
Investigations by police teams, including Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) and Cyber Cell, revealed that she was living with a man in Latur city after “marriage”, he said.
