Vadodara: Around 700 boxes of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 35 lakh were seized from truck parked near Vasad toll plaza in Anand district on Monday.
Police said the boxes contained a total of 34,800 bottles. The truck was parked in the parking lot of a highway eatery and the boxes were enveloped in wooden racks.
The cops arrested truck driver Vikas alias Mahendrasinh Jat, a 36-year-old resident of Mohinagar in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
They are also searching for two other accused, including Rinku Jat, a resident of Mohinagar and Idriskhan Pathan, a native of Indore, who currently lives in Maharashtra’s Dhule.

Drone-dropped box containing weapons recovered near LoC in Jammu
Security forces recover arms and ammunition from a suspicious box suspected to have been dropped by a drone in Khour area of Akhnoor on the outskirts of Jammu. The box was found during a joint search operation by police and Army in Palanwallah area near the Line of Control. The recovered items include one IED, one pistol, two pistol magazines, 38 rounds of ammunition, and nine grenades. An FIR has been registered and an investigation has been initiated.

From October 9 to November 26, a staggering Rs 709 crore worth of cash, liquor, drugs, and gold have been confiscated.
