Litu Holds ‘react-2024’ With Flair, Vc Aims To Go Global Next | Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University (LITU) annual technical event ‘Recent Trends in Chemical Engineering and TechnologyREACT-2024’ concluded on Monday. Chief patron Padma Shri Ganapati Yadav, chairman of Board of Governance, LITU, inaugurated the event and delivered the key note address titled ‘God is a Chemical Engineer’. Inaugural function was held on March 31.Atul Vaidya, director of Neeri was the chief guest. LITU vice-chancellor Raju Mankar shared his views. Dr Sivakumar Manickam, professor, University of Technology Brunei, delivered a session on ‘Efficient cavitation technology: A path for synthesis of nanomaterial and nano formulations’.
Various competitions such as industry defined problems, paper presentation, poster presentation, quiz, and workshop were conducted. The highlight of the event was Bootcamp organized for school and UG students. 94 paper and 72 poster presentations were made.
Mankar presided over the valedictory function and envisioned REACT as an international conference in the coming editions.
Chief guest was Vice Admiral Kishor Thakare, AVSM, SM (retd) who shared insightful reflections on ‘Recent trends in chemical engineering and the opportunities in the Indian Navy’. Co-convener Sameer Wagh presented the report while vote of thanks was proposed by Ram Bakale, joint secretary of REACT. The title sponsor of REACT 2024 was State Bank of India. On the occasion SBI ATM was inaugurated in presence of Mohan Pande, principal advisor LITU, LITU BOG member Ajay Deshpande, SBI RM Mrityunjay Panda, AGM Shubroto Mukharjee, BM Sudhanshu Kumar and Dnyaneshwar Takale, nodal officer of SBI.
The organizing committee comprising BABhanvase, SM Wagh, SK Deshmukh, SS Sen, GP Lakhawat, Saurabh Joglekar, along with student organizing committee members including Samir Kachkure, Ram Bakale, Vyankatesh Rajhans, Akshata Murkute and Sara Akolawala, made special efforts in making the event successful.
