Lokayukta Raids in Karnataka: Lokayukta police conducting raids on government officials in DA cases | Bengaluru News – Times of India

BENGALURU: The Lokayukta police are conducting raids at more than 23 places across Karnataka including Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Dharwad, Tumakuru and other districts from the early hours on Thursday in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) cases.

The officials are yet to reveal the findings. In Bengaluru, the officials conducted raids at the residence of Nataraj, revenue inspector, BBMP, Mahadevapura zone. The officials had trapped Nataraj on August 4 for accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh, with the help of a private person, to issue katha to 79 flats in Kodigehalli near Kadugodi. Subsequently his house in Avalahalli was raided. His house is being searched for the second time on Thursday.
The raids are also conducted on the residences and offices of Lakshmipathi, gram panchayat member of Chikkajala, Shivaraju, grade 2 tahsildar and Bhuvanahalli Nagaraj, CEO of Janaspandana, Tumakuru. According to Lokayukta police around four FIRs of DA were registered against the four officials.
