LUDHIANA: Three bike-borne miscreants allegedly assaulted an elderly woman, ransacked her house at Malerkotla road in Ludhiana’s Khanna, and made off with gold ornaments and cash.
The woman, identified as Surjit Kaur (70), is admitted at Khanna government hospital.
Ujagar Singh, the victim’s husband, said that his wife retired as a health worker.
According to the victim’s husband, at around 4 pm, three individuals on motorcycles, their faces concealed by masks, arrived at the scene. One of them remained by the motorcycle, while the other two entered his house, assaulted his wife, and looted the valuables.
