Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis arrived on monday Gadchiroli To take stock of the flood situation in the district where four people have died and 353 have been shifted to safer places.
The district administration has already declared a ‘red alert’ for the next 72 hours.
Earlier in the day, Shinde and Fadnavis landed in Nagpur Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport To review the floods in East Vidarbha from Mumbai where six people have died in separate incidents so far.

Shinde, the former Guardian Minister of Gadchiroli, along with his deputy had planned an aerial review of the floods, but the plan had to be canceled at the last minute due to bad weather.
In Gadchiroli, Shinde and Fadnavis stayed at Wainganga bridge in Armori taluka of North Gadchiroli to take stock of the water level, where Collector Sanjay Meena informed them about the flood situation.
Later in the evening, Shinde and Fadnavis held a meeting with the district administration officials at the collectorate.
Till the time of writing the news, the officials of Gadchiroli are briefing the CM and Deputy CM about the rescue and rehabilitation measures being taken so far in the district and other preparations made so far.
Some roads in Alapalli, Sironcha and Bhamragarh talukas in South Gadchiroli were closed due to floods.
