Prabhas and critic i say‘Adipurush’, which is a retelling of Ramayana, opened to high spirits with huge crowds in several theatres, with one seat being reserved for Lord Hanuman. However, it became a victim of several controversies regarding its dialogues and VFX. Following which, the film which took a stellar opening saw a massive drop in its numbers. With this, Adipurush’s production banner, T-Series announced that viewers can now watch the film at a discounted price of Rs 150 on Thursdays and Fridays.
Adipurush Discounted Ticket Price
Adipurush was doing exceptionally well at the box office till Wednesday. The film’s earnings saw the lowest drop in five days. Amidst the same, T-Series shared a poster of the film which read, “Special offer on 22nd and 23rd June. Experience the grandeur in 3D for just Rs 150. Now every Indian will watch Adipurush.” Invited. With edited and changed dialogues.”
The announcement posted by T-Series’ official Instagram read, “Experience the epic tale on the big screen in 3D at the most affordable price! Tickets start at Rs.150/- only. Offers are valid across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Not valid in Tamil Nadu.” Handle with a tagline that says, ‘Ab har Bhartiya dekhega Adipurush.’

Changed dialogues of Adipurush
Following massive trolling and backlash on social media, the makers of Adipurush changed the dialogues of the film, leading to an outcry from the audience. Director Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir also received death threats from the Kshatriya Karni Sena at a press conference held in Madhya Pradesh.
In the scene, the character of Hanuman had lines like: ‘Kapada tere baap ka toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki’. It is now changed to, ‘Kapda teri Lanka ka… toh jalegi bhi teri Lanka’. Another dialogue is “Tu andar kaise ghusa… tu jaanta bhi hai kaun hoon main” has been changed to “Tum andar kaise ghuse… tum jaante bhi ho kaun hoon main.”
About Adipurush
The 2023 Bollywood film by Prabhas and Kriti Sanon is inspired by the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana. Sunny Singh and Devdutt Nag are part of the supporting cast. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Goddess Sita, Sunny Singh as Laxman. Saif Ali Khan in the form of Ravana. The film extols the virtues of Lord Rama which include dharma, courage and sacrifice which is aptly reflected in the elegant poster. The film saw several postponements and controversies over the course of two years.
