Man kills 2 over noise complaint in New York – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Can a loud noise be the reason for someone’s death? Chilling videos emerged showing a neighbor killed a father and his stepson during an argument over the noise.
A crazy neighbour was caught red-handed in video footage where he took out his gun and shot at school bus driver Bladimy Mathurin, 47, and his stepson Chinwai Mode, 27.
The video clearly showed a man dressed in all black pacing angrily outside his upstairs neighbor’s apartment on the fourth floor of 1418 Brooklyn Ave, later a woman emerges from the apartment and exchanges words with the neighbor, the New York Post reported.
Notably, the audio was not captured in the footage so the conversation between the two is not clear.
Later, her son joined the conversation and then followed by his stepfather, who came out of his apartment with a pair of scissors and angrily confronted the neighbor, the video shows.
His wife tries to drag him away, but the bodybuilder dad of four pushes her back.
At that moment, the verbal dispute takes a harrowing turn when the neighbor in black pulls out a handgun and aims it at Mathurin.
Mathurin spots the gun but waves it off. He turns around and begins walking toward his apartment, at which point the neighbor opens fire and strikes Mathurin, who falls to the floor.
Mode, who was also in the hallway, tries to get away from the gunman, but the neighbor fires multiple shots at him, including at least twice after he had collapsed in a pool of his blood next to a staircase.
The neighbor then returns to Mathurin, who is still alive and struggling to get up and shoots him execution-style on his doorstep, according to the New York Post.
Having killed the two men, the neighbor calmly observes the grisly scene before stepping into an elevator, which he takes down to the street and flees. Cops have identified him, police sources said. But he has not been publicly named, and he is believed to be still in the wind.
Talking with CBS New York, the wife of the victim said that her neighbour hates them.
As seen in the surveillance video and confirmed by the police, Mathurin argued with the neighbor and seemingly threatened him with a pair of scissors, before the suspect opened fire.
But Delille insisted that her husband was not at fault.
“My husband had no gun, no weapon. Why did you bring a gun to shoot my family? Why would you bring a gun to tear my family apart? Why? Why?” Delille said, according to the station ABC 7 NY.
