Surat: Frequent quarrels in the family reached a flashpoint when a 26-year-old man allegedly murdered his elder brother in the Dindoli area on Tuesday.
The police arrested the accused Kishore Bachhav within hours of the crime.
Kishor and his elder brother Govind lived in the SUDA Colony of Vesu area. As Govind would frequently quarrel over petty issues and resort to violence with his mother, Kishore decided to kill him.
He took him to a deserted area of Dindoli on some pretext late on Monday night and slit his throat with a sharp weapon.
Dindoli police detained Kishore on Tuesday and detected the crime within a few hours. Police have booked him for murder and started a detailed investigation in the case.
