Man Plaint Against Cop Assault | Kolkata News – Times of India

Kolkata: A resident of Dakshindari, Lake Town, has lodged a complaint of being abused and assaulted by cops on Sunday.
The complainant, Chandan Jaiswal, stated in his complaint: “Around 4 pm on Sunday, I went out of my home to buy some medicines for my ailing mother. An Iftar party was organised there on behalf of a political party. Some cops present at the spot, called me and started abusing me.As I protested, around 10-12 cops took me to a secluded place and hit me. I sustained eye injuries. They kicked and punched me. They took me to the police station where they assaulted me again.”
Cops have denied the allegation of assault on the man.
