Delhi High Court will hear Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in ED case today. During this, Sisodia will be presented through video conferencing. The Delhi Police had on Thursday sought permission from the court to present Sisodia only through video-conferencing, accepting which the court has issued permission to the police.

On Friday, he will appear from Tihar Jail through video conferencing.

Sisodia has again filed bail petitions
During the hearing in the Delhi High Court on Thursday, Sisodia’s lawyer told that due to the deteriorating health of his wife, Sisodia has filed a fresh petition for bail, which is to be heard on Friday. Earlier on May 24, Sisodia had withdrawn bail pleas in both the CBI and ED cases.

The High Court had on May 30 rejected Sisodia’s bail plea in the CBI case, saying he was an influential person and the allegations against him were very serious.

Why the decision to produce through video conferencing…

On May 23, the Delhi Police, who had taken the hearing to the Rouse Avenue Court, were accused of misbehaving with Sisodia. That’s why the police sought permission to present through video conferencing. The police said that the gathering of AAP supporters and media persons in the corridors of the court leading to their production leads to chaos.

Another accused became government witness
On Thursday, P Sarath Chandra Reddy, another accused in the liquor policy case, turned approver. According to the ED, Reddy is the head of Hyderabad-based company Aurobindo Pharma and a liquor baron. Special judge MK Nagpal, who is hearing the CBI and ED case, said on Thursday that Reddy was granted clemency vide its May 29 order.

The court gave its verdict on Reddy’s appeal, in which he had said that he was ready to speak the truth of his own free will and wanted to turn approver. Reddy was recently granted bail by the Delhi High Court on medical grounds.

Delhi High Court asked- Liquor policy was good, so why was it withdrawn?
The Delhi High Court was hearing the bail plea of ​​accused Vijay Nair on Thursday. Vijay has been made an accused along with Sisodia in the money laundering case. During this, Justice Dinesh Sharma asked Sisodia’s counsel that when it was being claimed that the liquor policy was very good, why was it withdrawn.

Justice Sharma has also asked Sisodia’s lawyer to take a definite answer to this question and submit it to the court.

ED filed 2100 page supplementary charge sheet
Sisodia is the 29th accused arrested in the liquor policy case. He was arrested by the CBI on 26 February and by the ED on 9 March. ED has filed a 2100 page supplementary charge sheet within 60 days. Whereas CBI has already filed the charge sheet.
