Manoj Bajpayee expressed his desire to work alongside his wife Shabana Raza.

Manoj Bajpayee got candid about his wife Shabana Raza’s potential acting comeback and how he would love to act alongside her.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee, currently promoting his upcoming film Silence 2, embodies the role of a ‘family man’ to the core. He rarely takes a break from his work, except when it concerns his daughter, Ava Nayla. The 54-year-old, married to former actor Shabana Raza, known by her stage name Neha, eagerly anticipates her potential return to the film industry and looks forward to sharing the screen with her.

In a recent interview with the entertainment portal Zoom, Manoj expressed, “I would love to work with my wife Shabana provided the script comes from outside, and I don’t have to produce it. As much as I know her, I know she has a lot of self-respect as an actor. I am equally excited to work with her in a film that will mark her comeback into films. She is equally keen on doing films again.”

Manoj mentioned that Shabana is currently reviewing incoming scripts as she continues her quest for the right roles. He added, “So whenever that happens, she will return to the cinema.”

Shabana gained recognition for her performances in movies like Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai, Alli Thandha Vaanam, Ehsaas: The Feeling, Smile, Muskaan,Kareeb, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Fiza, Rahul, Aatma and Acid Factory to name a few.

Throughout his illustrious three-decade career, Manoj has portrayed various roles that have earned him acclaim from critics and viewers alike. Admitting that these characters often linger in his thoughts, he revealed, “Scenes from my films keep playing on my mind while I am doing routine things at home. Even while I am talking to my daughter, I am thinking of the character I am supposed to enact the next day. I often get reprimanded by my wife for not being in the moment because I am constantly thinking about the scenes in my head. If I have to become a character, the person is not going to leave me so soon. Acting is not a job one can simply switch on and off.”

In Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, Manoj Bajpayee will return as ACP Avinash Verma, while Prachi Desai will reprise her role as Inspector Sanjana. Talking about starring in the sequel of the 2021 film, the actor said, “Whenever you do the second instalment you have to revisit the old season as you grow as a person and actor. But there are some basic elements that you have done you should not leave that as it is the crux of the character. Try to remind myself of what I have done and what I should do now.”

Produced by Zee Studios and Candid Creations, Silence 2: Night Owl bar shootout will premiere April 16 on ZEE5.
