MCD polls: AAP govt working against interests of common man in Delhi: JP Nadda Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: BJP President JP Nadda on Sunday alleged that the country is moving forward on the path of progress, but due to the AAP government working against the interests of the common man, there is no development in Delhi.
Nadda went door-to-door in Delhi’s Wazirpur seeking votes for his party’s candidates in the upcoming municipal elections. He interacted with the local people and handed over copies of the party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto).
Nadda hit out at the Arvind Kejriwal government over the controversy over Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi minister Satyendar Jain getting ‘VIP treatment’ in Tihar Jail.
Referring to the purported video of Jain getting massage inside his cell in Tihar Jail, he said, “He (AAP) has done good work in the health sector and has opened a massage center in Tihar.”
Reacting to this defense of AAP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, he said, “He has also done a good job in the field of education and has made a rapist a doctor.”
It was later claimed by prison sources that Jain’s masseur was an inmate accused of raping a minor.
Nadda further claimed that the Kejriwal government withheld funds worth Rs 32,000 crore for the BJP-ruled municipal corporations and despite this, “around 13,000 temporary employees of the civic bodies were regularised”.
The country is now “moving forward” under the BJP government, the BJP president told the people, “but Delhi is deprived of development because you have brought a government here which works against the interests of the common man.”
Citing various alleged scams in the Kejriwal government, Nadda asked people to help the BJP instead of AAP in Delhi.
He said, “Kejriwal had promised to close liquor shops, but he did exactly the opposite and liquor shops were opened everywhere in Delhi.”
Nadda also listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest monthly radio address Mann Ki Baat and praised him for refraining from talking about politics in his broadcast.
He said, “Surprisingly, the Prime Minister, despite holding a political position, never talked about politics in Mann Ki Baat. He always talked about issues related to society, education, health, good work done by people and social evils.” has spoken.” Told.
The three former municipal corporations, ruled by the BJP since 2007, were integrated by the Center earlier this year. The unified Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has 250 wards.
The MCD elections will be held on December 4 and the counting of votes will take place on December 7.
