Kadav is passionate about the sci-fi genre and found that the artists were talking about fantasy and sci-fi with great joy and confidence. “I found it a very memorable moment to know that new age filmmakers are keen to create innovative fantasy stories. And they were looking for tools to translate their abstract sci-fi ideas into a visual flow they could go and shoot at anytime,” she says. When she went back home after the session, she received some social media messages where participants were still solving the sci-fi story and giving her alternate storyboards. “I found that really surprising,” she shares.
Ardeshir says that one of the things that stood out was that the sessions gave participants the opportunity to unlock new ways of understanding a set of tools that may have already been available to them. “It has the potential to plant seeds that can really turn into works of progress—which can be very powerful,” she adds.
