The impact of ongoing violence in Manipur has reached Mizoram. The Meitei community living here has started migrating due to fear. 40 people have come to Imphal, the capital of Manipur. Thousands are forced to flee. An ally of the former militant outfit Mizo National Front said the sentiments of the Mizo community are hurt at this juncture. That’s why Meitei people living in Mizoram should leave the state in view of security.

Why this news is important: The Manipur government says that it will get its Meitei people evacuated by flight. The Home Secretary of Mizoram met the leaders of the Meitei community and assured them of security. But Mizo organizations have announced a rally against the Meitei people in the capital Aizawl today. About 1,500 Meitei families live and work in Mizoram.

2. Airforce told Dassault – fit Indian weapons in Rafale, also install ‘Astra’ missile
The Indian Air Force has asked French aviation company Dassault to fit indigenous weapons in Rafale. The Airforce has asked Dassault Aviation to assemble weapons such as the Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon and ‘Astra’ air-to-air missile, made by DRDO.

Why this news is important: India currently has 36 Rafale. If these weapons are added to Rafale, then the global market will open for indigenous weapons. Egypt, Qatar also have Rafale. At the same time, Greece, Croatia, UAE and Indonesia have placed orders for it. Earlier Indian weapon systems have been added to Sukhoi-30 MKI as well as indigenous Tejas aircraft.

3. Yamuna again above the danger mark in Delhi; 57 missing after landslide in Maharashtra

The water level of Yamuna in Delhi has again crossed the danger mark (205.33 metres). People living in low-lying areas have again been sent to relief camps. Cloudbursts occurred in Himachal’s Kullu and Shimla. The city of Junagadh in Gujarat is still under water up to 5 feet. Even after 4 days of landslide in Raigad, Maharashtra, 57 people are missing, even their bodies have not been found.

Why this news is important: The water level of Yamuna was recorded at 206.42 meters at 9 pm in Delhi. Due to rain and floods in the capital, the number of patients of dengue and eye flu is increasing. Government and private property worth Rs 4,692 crore has been destroyed in Himachal since June 24. 36 people have died, 121 are injured and 12 are missing.

4. Court martial and punishment of army personnel; Pakistani used to tell the secret of the army to the spy
The Indian Army has court martialed a jawan. He was also sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in jail. This jawan was posted on the northern border of the country. He was caught passing intelligence to an employee of the Pakistan Embassy in Delhi. 6. 11 cheetahs shifted to bigger enclosure in Kuno; Radio caller ID of 6 cheetahs removed
All the cheetahs roaming in the open forest in MP’s Kuno National Park are being tranquilized and shifted to a bigger enclosure. So far 11 leopards have been brought to the big enclosure. After being brought into the enclosure, their health checkup is being done. Radio caller ID of 6 cheetahs has also been removed.

Why this news is important: Kuno 8 cheetahs have died in 4 months. Experts believed that the reason for the death of two cheetahs was infection caused by the radio collars worn around their necks. In Kuno, 12 cheetahs were brought from South Africa and 8 from Namibia. Cheetah Jwala brought from Namibia had given birth to 4 cubs, out of which 3 have died. Now only 16 cheetahs are left.

Monkey taken as evidence in Pakistan court, absconded
