A man named Alvaro in Mexico has been arrested after killing his wife and eating her brain in tacos. The 32-year-old was arrested on July 2 at his home in Pueblo. The Mirror reported,
Mr Alvaro, a builder by profession, allegedly killed his wife on June 29 under the influence of a banned substance. The accused allegedly told police that Santa Muerte (Our Lady of Holy Death) and the devil had ordered him to commit the crime.
Alvaro married Maria Montserrat, 38, less than a year ago. They had five daughters, who ranged in age from 12 to 23 years.
The Mirror report claimed that the accused confessed to eating part of his wife’s brain in tacos and using her fractured skull as an ashtray. He dismembered the victim’s body and put it in a plastic bag.
Two days after the alleged murder, the accused allegedly called his step-daughter to confess to his crime. The victim’s mother, María Alicia Montiel Serran, told local media: “He asked one of his daughters to come and take her mother because ‘I have already killed her and put her in the bag’.”
Ms Serran said the man dismembered her daughter’s body “with a knife, a chisel and a hammer”.
“Drugs, he used them, and he snorted cocaine and everything. Well, I think he had mental problems because of doing something like that…,” Ms. Cernan was quoted as saying.
The family also accused him of physically and sexually abusing the daughters of the victim.
Meanwhile, the police also found a black magic altar in his house during the investigation.
