West Bengal’s Bidhannagar Police was handed over the arrest of the millionaire thief on July 24. According to the report, accused Nadeem Qureshi has committed around 1200 burglaries in 14 states in 25 years. Its connection has been with the theft of Sourav Abasan in Salt Lake in 2021. Qureshi used to roam around in expensive vehicles and formal clothes. He is a proclaimed offender in 23 cases.

The Ghaziabad police took Nadeem from Tihar Jail to Bengal. Police told that Nadeem has property worth crores in Mumbai and Pune. His children study in expensive schools. After the theft, it was mastered in erasing the evidence from the crime scene. It also formed a team named ‘Nadeem Gang’.

The police first came to know about it when it was arrested by the Rajasthan Police for stealing more than 12 lakhs in two flats of a person Saurav Abasan. After this he was lodged in Tihar Jail since 2021.
