Dibrugarh: The 12-year-old girl whose body was found in a septic tank may have been gang-raped before she was murdered, the Tinisukia police said on Friday.
Addressing the media on Friday, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Hemant Kumar Boro said that preliminary investigation revealed that the minor might have been gang-raped before the murder.
