Mopa’s international innings begins with Air India flight to London on July 21. Goa News – Times of India

Panaji: First international flight from Manohar International Airport RV Seshan, CEO of GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL), said that Air India is scheduled to operate its first international flight from the airport to London on July 21.
The airport at Goa’s Mopa, which started operations on January 5, is as of now providing direct flights to Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Nashik, Jaipur, Chennai, Nagpur, Varanasi and Chandigarh .
Currently, Air India, Oman Air and Qatar Airways, among others, operate international flights from Goa International Airport, Dabolim.
About 250 employees will be deployed in this airport mop, comprising 90 Goa Police personnel and the rest from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs. The training has already been completed, said a top official.
In October 2022, Oman Air will start accepting flight bookings from Muscat to Mopa airport. Oman Air said that it will stop flight operations from Dabolim (GOI) from January 1 and shift operations to Mopa (GOX), but due to delay in opening of Mopa airport, it could not shift its operations.
