MUMBAI: The civic body has developed an application named Mumbai Air to enable citizens to lodge complaints regarding air pollution. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to develop a website and mobile application for air pollution complaints, accordingly, BMC has developed an application called “Mumbai Air” on the Android platform.The app also provides the facility to file complaints department wise.
Initially, the application has been made available on the Android platform and will later be developed on the iOS platform too. Complaints lodged in the last six months can be viewed in the mobile application. The details of the action taken on each complaint can also be seen by the users through the mobile app.
A BMC release informed that while filing a new complaint, the nature of the complaint, details of the complaint, location, street name, name of the department and photographs related to the complaint should be filled with each new complaint. The website enables the complaint to follow up the complaint and check the status of the complaint and a dashboard feature has been incorporated to resolve complaints at various stages.
