Like every year, this time too there is a tremendous discussion about the new upcoming season of the superhit reality show Bigg Boss hosted by Salman Khan. The name of the first confirmed contestant of Bigg Boss 16 has surfaced on the internet. Lock Up winner Munawwar Farooqui has been approached by the makers of Bigg Boss to participate in the 16th season of the reality TV show. Munavvar gained popularity with the OTT show Lock Up hosted by Kangana Ranaut.
It has not been officially announced by the makers yet, but entertainment portal Telly Chakkar has informed about it.
The report quoted a source as saying that out of all the names that have come out so far, the name of stand-up comedian Munawwar Farooqui has been finalized as the first contestant.
Additionally, reports of Munawwar’s participation in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 have also gone online. But he could not go to Cape Town to shoot the show. On this, he apologized to the fans through his Instagram handle.
Meanwhile, if reports are to be believed then Salman Khan’s remuneration for the show is likely to increase manifold. Salman Khan Has reportedly demanded a three-fold hike in fees for hosting the 16th season of Bigg Boss.
Salman is now believed to be paid around Rs 350 crore for every Bigg Boss season. If the payment is tripled, their remuneration will cross Rs 1,000 crore.
