Sidhu Musewala’s father Balkaur Singh at Amritsar Civil Hospital.
Balkaur Singh, father of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, reached Amritsar on Thursday to identify the killers of his son. He saw the bodies of gangsters Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh Mannu kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital. Both these gangsters were killed in a police encounter in Amritsar on Wednesday.
Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh was called by Punjab Police officials to identify Roopa and Mannu. On Thursday morning, he reached Gharinda police station of Amritsar rural police. There Balkaur Singh said that it is just the beginning. Their fight is long. Their son is not going to come back just because of the death of these two. He will continue to fight for justice for his son.

Sharp shooters Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh Mannu, who were involved in Moosewala’s murder, were killed in an encounter by the Punjab Police in Bhakna village of Amritsar on Wednesday. Their bodies were kept in the mortuary of Amritsar Civil Hospital. Before the post-mortem, it was necessary to have Balkaur Singh, father of Sidhu Musewala, while preparing the panchnama of both. For this reason, he reached Amritsar on the call of the police.
FIR has been lodged only on the complaint of the father
After the Sidhu Musewala murder case, the police had registered an FIR only on the statement of his father Balkaur Singh. It was written that Balkaur Singh was coming behind his son’s Thar jeep and in front of his eyes sharp shooters opened fire on Sidhu Musewala.
