Muslims need not panic over CAA: AIMPLB member | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) member Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali said here on Friday that mosques should not be used for any kind protest. Talking to reporters, Farangi Mahali, who is also the chairperson of Islamic Centre of India (ICI), further said that there was no need for the Muslim community to panic about the recently notified Ctizei nship Amendment Act (CAA).
“Our legal team is studying the (CAA) notification and the things that’ll come out will be p ut before the p eople soon. The govt has continuously assured that this law will not take away anyone’s citizenship,” he said. “I want to appeal to all to maintain peace. Mosques should be used for offering prayers and not for any kind of protest,” he added.
Meanwhile, police made foolproof security arrangements ahead of the Friday namaz, the first since the Centre announced the implementation of CAA.
