South Indian superstar Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming Telugu film “Custody” will hit the theaters on May 12, 2023, the makers announced on Wednesday. Chaitanya’s first look poster from the film was released last month on the actor’s 36th birthday. Chaitanya will be seen playing the role of a police constable in the film. The release date of the film was shared by the production company Srinivas Silver Screen on their official Twitter page.

The post read, “#custody in theaters on May 12, 2023.” The film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, also stars Kriti Shetty, Arvind Swamy and Sarath Kumar in pivotal roles. Veteran composer Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja have composed the music for the film.

‘Custody’ is one of the costliest films of Naga Chaitanya’s career. Arvind Swamy plays the antagonist while Priyamani will be seen in a powerful role. The film also stars Sampath Raj, Sarathkumar, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath among others.

Chaitanya made his debut in the Hindi film industry Aamir Khan“Laal Singh Chaddha” is the Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks’ “Forrest Gump”. Her last Telugu release was “Thank You”.
