Now, the duo is making headlines for another reason. Naresh and Pavitra have made a film on their relationship, titled Malli Pelli. The movie was written and directed by MS Raju. Naresh has backed the film himself under the banner of Vijaya Krishna Movies. Malli Pelli is a romantic drama based on real-life events. The film was released in theatres in May this year. Then the film was released on two OTT platforms simultaneously in June. Now, the makers have surprised the viewers once again and have decided to release the film on TV. According to the latest reports, Malli Pelli is all set to have its TV premiere this Sunday (September 17) at 1:00 p.m. on Star Maa.
Earlier, Malli Pelli was aired on the OTT platforms Amazon Prime Video and Aha on June 23. The movie focuses on Naresh’s perspective on the controversies surrounding his love life. As per reports, Ramya Ragupathi, Naresh’s ex-wife, filed a plea to prevent the film’s release and to stop its distribution, claiming that it portrays her in a negative way. Nevertheless, Malli Pelli was released as scheduled on May 26, 2023.
Malli Pelli stars Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh in the lead roles, along with Vanitha Vijayakumar, Jayasudha, Sarath Babu, Ananya Nagalla, Roshan, Ravivarma, and Annapurna in supporting roles. The film’s cinematography was done by Bal Reddy, and Junaid Siddiqui handled the editing of the film. Suresh Bobbili and Aruldev composed the songs for the movie, while Aruldev composed the background score.
Pavitra Lokesh is best known for films including Race Gurram, iSmart Shankar, Red, Idi Rani Roju, Neetho, Dhamaka, Veetla Vishesham, Sathyam, Pogaru, and Evaru. She made her acting debut with the 1996 movie Nammoora Mandara Hoove. Now, she is all set to star in the upcoming crime thriller film Redhills Highway.
Naresh is currently busy with his upcoming movie, Telisinavaallu. The movie is directed by Viplove Koneti and also stars Hebah Patel, Pavitra Lokesh, and Ram Karthik in pivotal roles.
