Netflix’s web series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is all set to release on 25 November. The high-octane cop-drama is from none other than acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Pandey. The web series, conceptualized by Neeraj Pandey, is based on a chapter in the life of IPS officer Amit Lodha, recorded by him in his book The Bihar Diaries. This best-selling thriller traces a police officer’s stint in one of Bihar’s crime-ridden villages and how he manages to nab one of the state’s most feared gang leaders.

Speaking about how he made Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, Neeraj Pandey said, “The project was born when I first met Amit Lodha and heard his story. I knew from the beginning that this was a story that needed to be told. We bought the rights to the book even before Amit could write it and everything fell into place. We had the right director, writer and artist and it made storytelling very easy. The story is essentially about the rise of a super cop and a super villain, and what happens when their paths intersect. A battle that would change Bihar forever. I am glad the show has got a platform netflix And we at Friday Storytellers are very excited for its release.

In 2004, a clash broke out between two men on opposing sides of the law in Bihar. Lawlessness and crime had become a part of life and common people swore their allegiance to criminals more than to the police. The much-awaited series, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter that chronicles this final battle, is all set to release tomorrow on Netflix.

The story, which is loosely based on real-life events, stars Karan Tacker and Avinash Tiwari in lead roles and also features an exciting ensemble cast including Ravi Kishan, Abhimanyu Singh, Anup Soni and others in key roles.
