NEET aspirant from West Bengal dies by suicide in Kota, 25th case this year | Jaipur News – Times of India

KOTA: A 20-year-old youth from West Bengal, who had been preparing for NEET in Kota for a year, allegedly died by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his rented room in Waqf Nagar under Dadabari police station in Kota city on Monday evening.
The reason behind the extreme step taken by the NEET aspirant has yet to be ascertained, as no suicide note was recovered from his room.
The deceased youth was identified as Faureed Hussain (20), a resident of Birhum district in West Bengal. He had been living in Kota since July this year. Some other coaching students also resided in the same house.
Faureed Hussain was last spotted in the afternoon hours on Monday. When he did not come out of his room until 8 pm, his friends called for him, but he did not open the door. Following that, they informed the owner of the house, who then called the police, said Circle Inspector Rajesh Pathak from Dadabari police station.
The police rushed to the spot and broke the door open, finding the youth hanging, he said.
“No suicide note was recovered from his room, and the reason behind this extreme step is yet to be ascertained,” the Circle Inspector said.
The body was placed in the mortuary for postmortem to be conducted after the arrival of his parents, who had been informed of the tragedy, he said.
This marks the 25th suicide this year.
Earlier, on September 18 this year, a 16-year-old girl from Mau in UP, also preparing for NEET in Kota, consumed a poisonous substance in her PG room in the Vigyan Nagar police station area of the city, marking the second incident in that month. Additionally, six coaching students had committed suicide in August.
